I have just purchased a Charge 2 and finally got setup but cannot get my text notifications to come up. I am getting call notifications but not text notifications. Have tried troubleshooting a few processes but still no luck.

THIS is what finally worked for me, thank you! It was a setting on my iPhone. GRRRRR, why is this not in the main article "My tracker isn't receiving notifications from my iOS mobile device" ?

My notifications are on and show in Notification Center. I've rebooted phone and watch. No text messages are coming thru and this is my second Charge 2. I'm about to return it and call it done if I can't get it fixed. Given the short return policy I can't spare the week long back and forth conversation via email I've had with Fitbit on my last issue.

Hello @sherynh, thanks for stopping by! I'm very sorry to hear about this, but let's try what I suggested in this post to see if that works for you.

Keep me posted!

I actually accidentally fixed this myself. I attempted to reboot the tracker by holdin the button down on the phone while it was connected to the charger. I must have missed it because it didn't reboot so I pushed it again and it said Notifications On. I must have reboot it when an update came out earlier this week and turned it off. Please list this as a possible solution.

So explain how this works please - how was your phone connected to charger and which button did you hold down?  I charge my phone via laptop - I have checked all notifications, etc.  In fact, when I just attached phone to laptop, it said "notifications on."  Hmmm???  Thank you.

It was the button on the tracker itself. when I had the tracker charging
and was attempting to restart it, I must have held down the button to
restart it and instead holding down the button turned notifications off.
You can turn this on or off without being on the charger as I have already
found. Just like when tracking an exercise and you hold the button down,
do this when you are on the main screen of your tracker, the watch face
display, and hold the button.

This isn't working for me.  I've fought ths for hours and can not get texts to show up on the tracker.  I'm about to return this device if fitbit can't get it working.  Solutions posted here do NOT work for me.

Use your app on your iPhone and go into your account, select the device, and go to menu items. Make sure Notifications are checked. This adds it to your menu you can scroll thru on you device. Then you can hold the button to turn it on and off.

Not sure if that helps.

Double check both of these things (copying from earlier posts):

@mbcorbin @terrywfoster @Snoopyboyii @Nana03Michigan It's nice to have you on board!

For everyone who is having issues with their notifications I suggest first to check if you have a compatible mobile device@sherynh did mention that she has an iPhone but many of you haven't stated which device you are using so please check the list to make sure this feature is available on your phone). After this there are several things that you can check. First what it has been stated here, press the button on your Charge 2 while on the main screen (where you see the time) and after a few seconds it will show the message notifications on or off (this a Do not disturb mode that you can use whenever you find appropriate). Also check your Fitbit app configuration to ensure notifications are on (this is kind of obvious so please don't take this suggestion the wrong way). Finally go to your phone's notification center (iOS) and make sure you allow notifications to be shown in the lock screen and that the Fitbit app has the permission to access them. On Android devices you need to have Location services (GPS) on for Android version 6 and above also check your permissions settings (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and your privacy settings (settings > sound and notification > there you can check "When device is locked" and "App notifications").

@Nana03Michigan Glad to hear that you got your notifications working again.

@BiebersMama @sherynh Thank you both for all your help in this thread!

Let me know how it goes!
