Hi there.
My Charge 3 keeps telling the wrong time. It has the right time once I sync it with my phone, but around an hour later my watch will show the wrong time, generally around 20 minutes too slow. Anyone any ideas? Brand new watch!

Welcome to the Forums @BitFitCouldBeMo and @NellyG thanks for the input.
If your Charge 3 time isn't correct, I recommend changing your timezone to a complete different one, sync your tracker, put the correct time and sync again. To change the timezone do the following:
Also check if the time on the device you are using to sync is correct.
Hope to hear from you soon.

My time zone is right but time is off by about 25 min and also won't sync. Is the sync must be what keeps the time correct? You'd think it would have it's own clock...is there any way to manually correct it? Hoping the next software update fixes the syncing issue!

This is the same issue I'm facing. I love my Fitbit and I use it to tell time for everything, even at work. It's very frustrating when j find out my time is wrong.... the only fix I've found so far is letting it hopefully sync overnight while on the charger (therefore losing my sleep tracking abilities)

I am having this same issue today. I know this was back in January but did you find help for this? I am on a galaxy note 10 and my time is off by about 40 min. And I am unable to sync to my phone or even my computer

The same with me!

I ended up returning my charge 3 after 2 frustrating months with 2 different ones. I guess my phone was not compatible. I kept being told they were working on the issue. I finally gave up. Too bad, because the watch had a lot of cool features...if you could get them to work!

Well, this is my 4th fitbit and I'm tired of all the issues. I finally went out last night and bought a new samsung active. I am done with fitbit

I am also having this problem. My clock is off by another approximately 99 minutes and I can get it to synch or track my sleep.

I see that lots of people had their time zone recent by 90 minutes. This happened to me too. I was in Eastern Time zone, and now somehow found myself in Newfoundland time zone. Why? I haven't been to the Rock in several years. I am disappointed with this. First the date of birth for kids is incorrect on their Ace trackers (and impossible to correct after reporting it to Fitbit almost a year ago, along with dozens of other parents). Now time zones... What's next? Is this related to the Google takeover?

Now that Google has bought fitbit, is it possible that they will actually make the "automatic time zone" featur work, after all these years? It's incredible that the software is so brain dead on that point -- surely it would not be hard to get it to work.

Mine is exactly the same. Always recently 3 mins slow, only purchased in August

Mind is showing 3 mins slower in time.

That worked!
My only worry is that I had already taken it off "automatic" time zone, but it switched back to Greenwich Mean Time a day later, causing me to miss a Zoom meeting! (I am in France at the moment.)
So now I took it off automatic, changed it to Pacific Time, and then changed it back to Central European. It's now telling the right time, but I feel that I must verify it often to make sure that it hasn't slipped back to Greenwich Mean Time. (By the way, my previous FitBit -- which died in February -- ALSO shifted to Greenwich Mean Time, and I haven't been to that time zone in a couple of years. So the problem is not limited to a particular watch.)

I have had my Charge 3 since Feb 3rd 2020.
Over the last month i have had a few issues with the device not syncing, and now it is showing the wrong time. I have tried to sync and it fails and comes up with a red (!) i have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it works for a few hours and then it shows wrong time again. ( A time difference of 50 Mins ) Try and sync and it fails.
Uninstalled app and reinstalled and trying to pair the fitbit and now it won't connect to finish pairing.
What the Hell is going on?????
It is getting quite frustrating as i had never had this issue with my old Garmin tracker, i should have just stayed with Garmin
