Charge 3 update stuck

Update has been stuck for a few days now. Is it OK to reset halfway through, or will this cause more problems?

A different issue that has now emerged is the screen is low brightness. This maybe connected to the update issue.

Welcome on board @Roy-boy, it's nice to have a new member around! If the firmware update on your Charge 3 has been stuck, make sure your device is charged and follow these steps:

  1. Turn your device off and on again, and retry the update. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  2. Restart your phone, and retry the update.
  3. Log in to your Fitbit account on a different device, and retry the update.

Give this a go and let me know if you can complete the update and if you notice the brightness is back to normal after updating your device.

I made a post about 90 minutes ago on this same problem,  before I saw this answer.  I tried this and it worked, took about an hour to update.  Tried to add that to my previous post the site would not let me,
