Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @PhotogBetty.
I am sorry to hear your Charge 3 screen is very dim. Thanks for the details shared, I understand how you are feeling and I am here to help. I recommend trying to change the brightness setting on your Charge 3: go to Settings > Brightness and change to Auto or On. Please also confirm that you don't have "Sleep Mode” turned on: press and hold the button on your device. Tap a setting to turn it off. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device's screen?
I also recommend restarting your tracker: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
Additionally, I recommend checking if your Fitbit app is updated to the latest version as updates come with new features and bug fixes: How do I update the Fitbit app?
Let me know how it goes, I'll be around.
