Water damage on the Charge 4

I am so heartbroken. My Charge 4, which I've had for the last two years and was a present from my dad, seems to have permanently died.

A few days ago it buzzed for a solid 20 seconds then the smiley face popped up and the screen went black. It was at about 60% charge so I was really confused and plugged it in for a while and nothing happened. Then I saw on the bottom of the device that the sensor lights had condensation in them. So I put it in rice for a day, used a dehumidifier and hairdryer and everything, then left it on charge for a while, but it's completely dead.

I thought these things were supposed to be water-resistant? I've done nothing differently to how I've been using it for the last two years. Now it's up and died. I am so sad.

I used a safety pin and pushed what I assume is the reset button on the back top right corner. Put it on the charger and the screen came on. I’m hoping it fixes the issue.

I tried what you suggested and unfortunately it didn't work. Thank you for your comment, though
