Blood glucose level logging no longer possible

Since the new version of the Fitbit app blood glucose logging is no longer possible. I have been using this feature for about 18 months now and do want it back.

Having this data together with other daily measurements in one app is of great help monitoring my health.

@RiekoC , actually, I've never seen Glucose in my app, nor do I see it in the current app.

What I found  in https://blog.fitbit.com/fitbit-blood-glucose-tracking-feature/
** This feature is available to all users in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Singapore, Canada, Germany, France, and Spain.

Hello @PaulSmo

I think the Blood Glucose tile is not enabled on your Today page. It might be turned off by default.

To turn it on so you can log your results:

  • Tap on the pencil icon on the Today page in the upper right to get to Edit mode
  • Swipe up to get to the Health section
  • Continue to swipe up until you see Glucose and tap on the dot to the right to enable it
  • Tap Save at the top of the page to get back to your Today page
  • You should now see the Glucose tile in the Health section. Tap on it to log or import your readings.

You can also use the Custom preset Focus option for quick access to your blood glucose log

  • Tap the pencil icon on the Today page to get to the Edit mode
  • Swipe to the left to scroll through the different Focus preset options
  • Select Custom preset
  • Tap on the pencil icon to select the metrics you want to see in your Focus section.
  • Tap on each of the 4 metrics to select from the available options. Metric #1 is going to be the big center icon. Metrics #2 - #4 will be below Metric #1 from left to right. You can select Glucose as any one of the 4 metrics in your Focus section.
  • Tap Save to return to the Edit page
  • Tap Save to return to the Today page

If you added Glucose in the Focus section, you can tap on icon for quick access to the page where you can log your glucose results. I added water as my #4 metric so I can easily log in my daily fluid intake. It's much faster than trying to scroll down the page.

BTW, while you're in the Edit mode for your Today page, you can use the up & down arrows on the left side of each section to move it up or down on your Today page for quicker access. Unfortunately, there currently isn't a way to move the various tiles within a section.

Let us know if you are still having problems logging in your blood glucose results.

Hi RiekoC,

Your advice is the same advice I got initially from support. Unfortunately when I am at the part where I should see Glucose it is not there. So there is nothing to activate.

The initial support person told me that he would escalate the problem.

Today I got the message from another support person that the Glucose option is no longer available but that I could try to get it reinstated by support from the communiy. Hence my post in the forum.

See screenshot below for what I see when editing Today:

I tried to upload the screenshot but it is not accepted being ''invalid HTML'.

Can you be of further assistance?

Hello @PaulSmo

I see your app is in Dutch. I'm going to reach out to my fellow Dutch PE and see if he can help shed some light on your issue.

@MarioDings  Do you see Glucose in the Health section of your Fitbit app?

Thank you, @MarioDings .

Sorry, @PaulSmo . It looks like glucose monitoring is no longer supported for Dutch users.

Thanks @RiekoC for finding this out.

I have just submitted a request to extend Glucose level logging to more regions including The Netherlands. I hope this will help in getting this available for Dutch users as well as there is more to Blood Glucose levels than just the daily carb intake.
