Bricked Charge 5s- are you taking the 35% discount for a new device or not?

For everyone whose Charge 5 got bricked by the Firmware update and Fitbit is offering you a 35% discount- are you taking it?

I'm curious about the general sentiment towards the brand after this... situation.

Although I cannot answer for everyone, whether or not they're even eligible for the discount depends on whether or not they bought the Charge 5 directly from Fitbit or if they got it from a 3rd party retailer.  If they got it through a 3rd party retailer, then they would have to abide by that retailer's return policy.

So, it wasn't just me? This is related to the firmware update? Mine started acting funky on 5/6 and was completed dead by the middle of last week. And they want to offer a 35% discount??? What a sham. Will be looking for another brand.

Although it's fine if you want to move to another brand, I think you misinterpreted what I said.  I said that I couldn't speak for everyone.  Not once did I mention if your issue was related to a firmware update.  All I mentioned was what their options might be if they had the same issue or were looking to take advantage of a return policy, that's a big difference.

I also never mentioned whether it was just you or whether it was others, so you misinterpreted what I said.

I was just wondering if my issue was likely related to a firmware update. I had no idea why it suddenly stopped working.

It's quite possible.  I haven't updated mine yet, so I have no idea what issues are associated with any firmware updates at this time.

My Garmin Swim 2 updated today.

It still functions normally, which means very well, and the battery has not died.

They didn't even offer me the discount when my Charge 5 battery died shortly after the warrant expired.

I don't really believe what Fitbit says but this is the second Fitbit device that has failed on me well before what I would consider end of life. It looks to me that it is indeed a software issue as was it does not look like I am the only one with this issue as can't believe batteries fail that quickly

Why buy a new device when I'll just fail again at any given moment from this **** company.
