There are a couple of threads about this here already. I have checked all the forums I can find and had 'chat' with support about it. They confirm that there is NO SUPPORT for DD/MM date format. Is anyone else sending theirs back?
I'm in U.S. so haven't run into this, but I have seen people say it date format matches what you said for location.
Just curious, where is it that you see date in such format? On a clock face or on some screen in phone app?
See if changing location makes a difference. On phone app from Today screen

Well, I couldn't see it then anyway. None of my clock faces have date numeric. And, at least for Sense, neither do any of the clock faces 'by Fitbit'.
There's a Feature Suggestion that you can vote for and comment on that can help to get this implemented. They do claim that if they get enough votes, they might do something...
At the moment I'm using the Runliner Clock face and it displays the date as 'Oct 29', which is a good compromise for me. I find the totally numeric ones confusing sometimes for dates up until 12th, although I live in a country that uses the American system.

Hi, welcome to the Community forums, @UnfitJohn @fionac.
Thank you for sharing this information about the date format on the Charge 5.
I've seen other users have mentioned that they experience this problem when they have the Continuum clock face installed. It seems that you always get an American date format (MM/DD) when you have an English speaking country or Europe as your location on the app settings, and if you select a non English speaking country, you're able to see the date format as (DD/MM). This information has been shared with the team and they're looking into it.
In the meantime, I recommend that you vote for the feature suggestion posted in the forums that @Wibby mentioned earlier: Support DD/MM date format on Charge 5.
Have a great day.
It would be really good if the developers realised that the only English speaking country that uses the US date format is the US; the rest of us use DD/MM! It can't be difficult to do if they can do it for other languages.

Best AnswerMe too, how is it that the technology allows the device to automatically sync to local time but won't let it show the local date variant of dd/mm
It is not that difficult a task and just leaves half of their customers disgruntled.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @ChokingonUSA.
I appreciate all the feedback you've provided about the current date format on the Charge 5.
This feedback has been shared with the team so they can look into it. In the meantime, I recommend that you vote for this feature suggestion posted in the forums: Support DD/MM date format on Charge 5.
Have a good day.
This is appalling, I just got mine today and while I really like it the Americans need to realise they are not the centre of the universe and it is either laziness or arrogance that they won't fix this, was fine on the other Fitbits I have owned, but this may be the last!
@AKLDave If you say it twice, it shows you really mean it. But can you really not think of any other possibilities other than laziness or arrogance?

@AKLDave Thank you for your reply and for sharing your feedback about this as well. There hasn't been a firmware update released recently that would be able to add other date formats for this clock face, but please know that all your comments and feedback are appreciated. As mentioned earlier, the team is already aware of this and they're looking into it.
Make sure to vote for the Feature Suggestion mentioned here previously, as this is really helpful for the team of developers.
See you around.
> the rest of us use DD/MM!
No, in Canada we got so sick of getting confused by US vs. British dates that standard date format was added as an official format, and is now the preferred format.
Standard format is YYYY-MM-DD, and amongst it's many advantages it's completely unambiguous because there is no such thing as "YYYY-DD-MM" so it can't cause confusion and errors.

I have never been to the USA.
I have worked, read web pages, lived in or spent time in around 40 countries throughout Europe, Asia and Oceania - most of which had their own version of English. In none of these countries is MM/DD used as a format for dates. At no time or place in the last 66 years have I seen dates in this FitBit specific MM/DD.
With all other web pages across the whole of the www - all dates are displayed acording to the chosen settings on the user's computer/tablet/phone.
This is either an oversight (or mistake) by the developers of this forum or there's an absurd arrogance being displayed by fitbit.com. Given that this has been repeatedly pointed out by many posters over the last few years, we can readily assume it's not a mistake or an oversight.

@OldAussieBob Thank you for sharing all your experience and feedback about this.
This information has been shared with the team, but keep in mind that a new firmware for the Charge 5 hasn't been released yet and it takes time to implement suggestions made by users. Please make sure to vote for this feature suggestion to show your support for this idea.
See you around.
@DavideFitbit Yes, it takes time to release a firmware, more than 7 months since the original post? Seriously? Honestly speaking this is not a suggestion, just a terrible oversight (like the lack of 24 hours mode in ACE series that Fitbit has already said it is going to ignore)
