There are a couple of threads about this here already. I have checked all the forums I can find and had 'chat' with support about it. They confirm that there is NO SUPPORT for DD/MM date format. Is anyone else sending theirs back?
Having just purchased a Charge 5 I'm pretty appalled at the fact that simple date formats seem to be fixed to US formatting on numerous clock faces. Interestingly, the promo images of the default Charge 5 clock face (Continuum) show a MMM DD format, which isn't presented on the real one, it's MM/DD instead... which for a UK user, is wrong. This should not be a feature request, it should be a setting within the app, or for the clock face itself (like old Charge clock faces used to be).
Reading through these forums I'm saddened to see that 'feature requests' for simple things like date formats need to be submitted (and seemingly ignored in place of a 'find my phone' feature?!) - that, along with simple requests for more informative clocks faces, that don't need loads of taps to see data.
I was excited to get my new Charge 5, having worn a Charge 1 for 6 years... which frankly, feels more user friendly!
I was so woefully unimpressed with this basic error being left uncorrected - among other limitations of the watch, that I've now moved on to a Galaxy Watch 4 instead. I'm very sad to leave the Fitbit eco-system after all this time, but to be told to 'change to another watch face' as a solution to such a basic problem left me rather unimpressed by the quality of the products that Fitbit are now choosing to release, and refusing to fix.
I hope you have a better experience than me @MartyBartfast !
What a shame that it seems after a couple of years of these messages the date format is still wrong for UK customers. Just bought this watch and date format is extremely annoying!!
