Charge 5 Exercise tracking stops in the middle of the exercise

I recently purchased a Charge 5.  I have been using a Charge 2 for the last 4 years.  When I try to track my run it stops before I'm finished.  I never stop during the run, so I don't know why it turns off.  I never had this problem with my Charge 2.

I have problems with this Fitbit stopping tracking all the time.  It doesn’t seem to matter what kind of workout, I do cardio, HIIT, runs, etc.   But hockey seems to be especially bad, I have lost more data than I have collected and have to continually restart it.  I hope it is something I am doing wrong, but don’t think so.  Then thought Maybe I just got a lemon and should see if another works better.  Now I am thinking it could be a flaw in whatever they do (all you need is a manual only turn off feature).  It is so frustrating because it is the main reason I bought a tracker…. Starting to think I should just get an apple… my friends using them have no issues.

My charge 5 regularly stops tracking my runs even when it’s not raining. Surely the water lock should work for running?? So far I’m very unimpressed with the charge 5. The charge 3 was way more functional.
