Announcing the release of Fitbit Firmware Update 1.188.58.
This update should now be available to all customers! If you have any difficulty updating, make sure you are following the directions in How do I update my Fitbit device?. If you choose to post about your issue, provide as many specific details as possible in your post so that we can assist you.
*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

Hi I too got this update on my charge 5 (the old one against which I had received a replacement) as the battery had been messed up with the last update. Let's see if this update manages to revive the device again. Will post updates here.

Battery used to last 7 days, not it lasts 60minutes. This happened immediately after the firmware update. Is Fitbit aware of this issue? I saw the same complain all over the internet.

This update is still suspicious. on the link where suppose to give "more information" about releases does not show this version 1.188.58. How can we trust it ?
Which bugs were fixed ?

I've been messaging with Fitbit support on Twitter. They claim it is legitimate and there is only "bug fixes" (no mention which "bugs"..).. well, I can no longer receive notifications on my device. They keep telling me to do this, do that all of which I have done multiple times! One of the reasons I wear it is to receive notifications when my phone is out of reach!

@YojanaFitbit Why would customer support say that they will email with warranty options rather than deal with me in the support chat that I was in with them? I am still waiting for an email. Has something changed with the transition to Google?

I did the Firmware Update on my Charge 5 yesterday, and now my exercise options are all messed up. The only options I want are walking and yoga. I can find no way on the app or when I am logged into fitbit how to make this change. Where do I find instructions for this?

After the previous update my Charge 5 battery life is now only 12 to15 hrs.
Before the previous update my battery would last 4-5 days. I was hoping that this new update would fix this problem but I am now noticing my battery life is depleting at a rate of 2% every half hour. My screen is dim, manual wake, gps is on phone. This watch is becoming useless since it runs through the battery. I have restarted both from the settings and from the button on charger. I’m so frustrated. If I have to turn off all my premium features then what is the point of having the features at all plus the fact that it was working just fine until the last update!!!! It is only a year old. Help.

I did this firmware update a few days ago, and now my app on my iPhone won't display sleep and health metrics. I've restarted the device and logged out of the app, shut the phone down and logged back in. How do I get the app to show all the information again?

This morning "Run" activity synced to Strava as "Run". Don't know how. Changed nothing on watch and app ( Both Fitbit and Strava )

I wish I hadn't updated, not getting notifications no matter how many times I restart, unpair, repair, etc now on twitter text with fitbit ..
"
This happened to me with the update before this one. Ended up solving it by resetting all notification settings on my Android phone. Disabled them all, and start granting each app as they asked for permission. Before doing it, notifications were granted for Fitbit anyway but was not working
