Since doing the update, my Fitbit won’t track my night time sleep.

I tried last night sleeping with full 100% battery, and with these new updates draining the battery in just 6 to 7 hrs, I would have hoped it could record my sleep last night within the time before it 0%. Woke up early just to check and sync with my phone, now I agree with some of these people saying it's not recording sleep data. Another issue created by these updates. It keeps getting worse. I am at the breaking point of doing away with Fitbit, to think I've bought several devices for myself in the last 6 years (4 trackers Alta HR, Inspire HR, Inspire 2, Charge 5) and then gifting trackers to friends for Christmas in a way of promoting something healthy and useful in their daily lives. If a tracker doesn't do what it's supposed to do then it loses credibility and reliability and then people will no longer buy their products.

Besides the notifications no longer working normally, they work randomly for a while, then stop and then I have keep restarting device several times. Now this morning, my watch congratulated me for having completed 750 zone minutes and I was only up for 2 hours with barely any activity!! Yet the app said I did 36 zone minutes! I am waiting for a response from Fitbit support but have a feeling it will be a long time before anything is done. It worked just fine before the firmware update!

Is there any update as to when the fix will be ready that allows those of us using Samsung Flip phones with the Charge 5? I made the mistake of unpairing it from my phone and then attempted to re-pair it hoping that might address the sync problem. Now the phone recognizes the Charge but cannot pair with it. It gives me the "Not working?" page with three potential fixes, all of which I have tried.

I can't update. Every time I go to the page to update, the link is greyed out and my phone says it's syncing. It does this all the time.
On another screen, it wants to pair with my Charge 5 but it already is and it's synced. All my data is there up to the minute.
Frustrating.

I called Fitbit customer support. The young lady told me there is an issue with Samsung Flip phones and the Charge 5. If I want to track my steps now, I have to use either my old Blaze or One device.

Just a guess: Fixing the issue not connecting to GPS once lost while in an activity. Will test today

Tested yesterday evening and this morning. Not connecting to GPS once lost in an activity (firmware 1.717.50) bug is fixed.
Nope. It is still there. Sorry for false hope

After update to version 1.188.58, I can not use transit card, iPASS card in instant access mode.
I need to open payment and enter password every time before using iPASS card.
It's very inconvenient.
Please help me to solve this problem, thank you!
Note: I also create a suica, japan transit card in my payment. If in situration of using iPASS card, I temporarily stop suica.
It's working before updating firmware.

I was finally able to sync and update my charge 5 after signing into fit bit on a friend's iPhone. But my Samsung flip will no longer pair with my watch. More than half the time it doesn't even see my charge 5 as an available device to pair with. When will this be fixed?! Is this a Samsung or fitbit issue?? Both devices updated the same night.

This is not a fix or update. Charge 5 still will not Bluetooth connect to any Samsung flip or fold phones. Definitely a Fitbit issue as Bluetooth works fine with all other devices except Charge 5. This has been a problem since early December and its a joke that Fitbit has taken 3weeks and still doesn't have a fix. With this support and 'customer service' I don't think I'll buy another Fitbit device ever again.

TO BE HONEST: About a week ago the update tracker popped up on my Samsung S10 and I am afraid to act upon it. Last update was hell for me and took about a month to have a new device mailed to me.

Fitbit Charge 5 update sucks! Heart rate monitor graph in the app doesn’t show measurements below 66bpm and the resting rate which used to be 63 to 67bpm now wanders all over sometimes in the 80‘s.

I got this issue as well a few days after doing the most recent update. I noticed it still seemed to buzz when plugging in to charge and it was still syncing with my app. I tried to change the watch face as some others had suggested but that didn't work. I tried to reboot with the charge cable (press button 3x) and it also didn't seem to get the screen back on. I can feel it buzzing as if something is happening and I see the green light underneath flashing but nothing on the screen.

Ever since I updated, my heart rate doesn’t turn yellow or red. Only when I tap it to get back to steps does it show a color. Super weird. Any fix for this?

Yep same problem here. Drains in less than 12 hours.

My charge 5 had it a few years without issue and installed the device update and the green light has stopped working so no hear rate tracking. Tied restarting many times and FitBit sent me a replacement and then after installing the device update same issue the HR green light wont come on and no monitoring Has this been seen else where as I guess they don't send out replacements unless there was a wider issue? Thanks

I installed the latest update on my Charge5 a short while ago as it stopped tracking my sleep, heart rate, hourly activity, active minutes, etc this morning. Only the step counter was working. However, after the update, the approx 7,000 steps I had accrued so far through the day disappeared and reset back to zero on both the device and the app on my phone. I tried re-syncing to no avail and it seems those steps are lost forever. Not a fan of this update if it's messing up progress data for the entire day. Is there anyway I can get the those steps back?
