3 time while walking on the treadmill my Charge 5 notifies me to take it easy because I am at my maximum heart rate. It shows my heartrate is in the upper 160's. I actually check my pulse with my fingers and a clock and I am only around 100bpm. What is going on? The Charge 5 will show this high rate for several minutes and then go back to normal.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @jeff__.
Thank you for sharing this information about the inconvenience you've been experiencing with your Charge 5.
If you haven't done so already, please follow the instructions in this article to improve the accuracy of heart rate information and check the information mentioned here about other factors that could affect your heart rate reading, this has been useful to other users who have experienced something similar.
In addition, I recommend that you try restarting the device using the three pulse restart method mentioned here below, instead of the restart option found on the Charge 5 itself:
I'll be around.
