My Charge 5 has a black screen just like my previous Charge 4 did. I have done all the troubleshooting tips but no success. It happened a few weeks ago but was still tracking info so I kept wearing it but now it won't even sync. I am nervous about upgrading since this has happened to me twice now but if I could get some assistance with the upgrade I would most likely do it because I really do like the products when they work.
I’ve had exactly the same thing happen to mine last week. Tried all the advice such as forcing restart on charging cable, changing watch faces. It appears to be happening to a lot of people with no solution. Very disappointed and considering switching to an Apple Watch

Please, sync your device one more time: with your device nearby, open the Fitbit app and tap Today. Press and hold on the screen and pull down.

Hi, thank you for responding. I have tried all of the procedures listed and still not working. I can't even tell if it's taking a charge now because it won't sync and the display is still blank. It vibrates when attaching the charging cable and when performing the reset but still no sync and black screen.
Since 10 days battery that suddenly runs out very quickly, instead of 7 days now max 2 days. Now the charge 5 doesn't work at all, black screen. Asked Fitbit for advice but nothing helps. I've only had this batch for 5 years and 5 months. If it's not going to work anymore, I won't buy a fitbit.

Again, I notice this happening right after an update! I was jogging!! In the middle of my run and it starts vibrating then gives me a blank screen. It’s frustrating!! I love the Fitbit, way better than an Apple Watch (my hubby uses it). But enough is enough!! It’s like a bad boyfriend that says they’ll change and you take him back; only for him to do it again!
I tried this multiple times over the last week and give up with Fitbit after realising I have bought 3 fitbits in 5 years because of this kind of issue and it’s not value for money. My husband’s had his garmin for 5 years and has had no problems.

Same happened today. Screen is blank tracker is unresponsive. I tried a forced restart with the cable. The battery was 85%. What do i do?
