I have tried using the charger and the button 3 times, numerous times,  different outlets, nothing. What do I do now?

My fitbit charge 5 died as well after a software/firmware update, not sure what happened but it got bricked. It's happened with a lot of people.

Was scared to get the charge 6 for the same reason. So went ahead with a Pixel Watch 2.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Murano17. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is showing a blank screen. Thank you for mentioning the steps you have followed in order to resolve this. I'll be happy to assist.

Please try syncing your tracker in the Fitbit app:

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap Devices.
  2. Choose the device they want to sync.
  3. Tap Sync Now. If this doesn’t work, proceed to the next step to restart the device.
  4. With restarting the device your data won't be deleted. Go to: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Thank you for sharing your experience and for letting us know that you got a Pixel Watch 2 @ayaashpaw

My fitbit screen is blank. I can still use the app from my smartphone however I need the 4 digit code to reset. Is there any way I can call or get a text with the 4 digit code??? I have tried to reset my fitbit but cannot see anything and cannot pair with bluetooth.

No worries. Can we please get a new line of updated Fitbit trackers ?

Those are still better than the watches in terms of wearing them to sleep. And with other normal watches.

Thanks for getting back to us and for letting me know that you've tried all the suggestions @Murano17.

Please follow these steps:

    • Double-check the connection: Ensure secure connection to the charging cable and that the cable is plugged into a working USB port (computer or UL-certified wall charger).
    • Leave it charging: Even if the screen is black, the battery might be completely depleted. Leave it on the charger for at least an hour to a few hours. Check if the device gains enough charge to show a battery icon or if it vibrates.

If these steps don't work, proceed to the next step.

  • Restart the device. Your data won't be deleted. If the restart doesn't work the first time, try it a few more times. Sometimes it takes multiple restarts to clear the glitch. Go to How do I restart my Fitbit device?

After charging and restarting your device please set it up again:

Note: If you own an iPhone and want to replace the Fitbit device currently paired to your account, remove your old device from the list of connected Bluetooth devices in your phone's Settings app. After that, follow the steps below.
  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app on your phone, tap the devices icon.
  2. Tap Add more devices.
  3. Choose Charge 5 and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

If you encounter issues with your Fitbit device setup, refer to Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

I have done all of those. I even left it to charge all night 2 different
times result was no change, no vibration, no light of any kind. I know the
outlet works and the charging cord works because my husband checked it with
his Fitbit.
