Charge 5 heart rate tracking higher than Charge 2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Since I have moved from Charge 2 to Charge 5 my resting heart rate bring recorded has increased by circa 3 BPM. Does annoying know the reason for this?

I've tightened the strap on my Charge 5 tighter but that did not change anything.

Thanks

It’s good to see you in the community, @Paullubs.

Thanks for the details shared in your post. I understand your concern and appreciate your efforts. You might notice slight variations between your heart-rate reading on your new Fitbit device compared with your old one due to improvements in the heart rate sensor and algorithm. For more information about heart rate tracking and tips to improve accuracy, see

Hope this helps.

Hello,

I think it's normal for your resting heart rate to vary as the majority of it is measured when you're asleep and stress/temperature/the way you're laying can all contribute to it.  It's quite different when measured over a 24 hour period, to when you measure and you're relaxed (I guess).

I had the Charge 4 and then changed to the Charge 5.  My resting heart rate has varied between 57 and 64 over the period from May until now.  It really seems to depend on the day and how well you've slept.  On the odd occasions when it's been 64, I've been quite upset. I'm always happier when I check and it's 57 or 58 as it makes me feel a bit 'fitter'.  I've realised there's nothing you can do to change something that happens when you're asleep so I'm trying not to let it bother me as much.
