Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Sm62!

In order to get a sleep score, you must see your sleep stages. If your Charge 5 isn't able to track those sleep stages accordingly, please have a closer look at the troubleshooting tips under 'Why don't I see sleep stages today?' following the link below:

What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

Hi, @Sm62 the most usual reasons for not getting a sleep score are:

1. The fitbit has been unable to get a heart rate reading consistently.  This can happen if you sleep in a position in which your wrist is significantly flexed.  Obviously you cannot help your sleep position, but it might be worth trying it on the other wrist to see if that helps.  Another reason for not getting a heart rate is the way you wear your Fitbit.  Your Fitbit should be snug, but not too tight, and it might help to wear it a little higher on your wrist overnight. Finally, is your heart rate detection accidentally turned off?  Are the green lights on the back of the Fitbit flashing?  You can check your HR settings on the Fitbit itself by going to the settings menu.

2. Your Fitbit battery is critically low.  Ideally please make sure it is charged to at least 20% for optimal performance

3. You manually started sleep in the app.  To get detailed sleep info you need your sleep to be detected automatically.

4. You slept less than 3 hours (or your Fitbit thought you did!). If you were active in the night your Fitbit may interpret your sleep as a series of naps.

5. Your Fitbit hasn’t completely synced!  Sometimes initially you will get basic sleep info which is later updated to show a sleep score.  Have you tried checking a little later in the day?  Have you got the latest version of the app? (Check for updates in the App Store or Play Store.)

You can find more information about sleep detection and scores in this help article

I would also recommend giving your Fitbit a restart as that is always the first troubleshooting step whenever your Fitbit is not behaving as expected.  You will not lose any data from restarting your Fitbit.
