Charge 5 keeps disconnecting

I am getting tired of having to keep reset my device when it wont sync!!!  It wipes out all the data I had accomplished.  This is not even a year old.  and it's my 3 or 4th fitbit I've had in that many years.  what is the best way to keep this from happening?

Hi, @Mcaiello67 resetting your Fitbit should definitely NOT cause any data loss.  This should only happen if you choose the option to delete user data - that is specifically designed for use when you are returning the Fitbit or passing it on to a new user.

 

A normal reset preserves all data.  Instructions for reset are here .

 

Sync problems are not unusual and often resolve themselves in a few hours or less without any action from you.  But I know they can be really frustrating!!!  If you are in a hurry for a sync, I find the quickest way to force a sync is to simply log out of your Fitbit account and log back in again.  A new log in should force a sync - but do be sure you know the email address and password of your Fitbit account,
