Charge 5 not connecting to charger

My Charge 5 is only two months old and not connecting to charger.  No magnetic connection.  I tried cleaning contacts on both charger and fit bit itself.  Help!!!

I don't personally know what the problem is, but I did some research and found out the charger for the Luxe is the same.  I checked their forums and found this thread that might help:

I hope that helps a bit. 

 

Reading other threads, it may even be a charger issue.  If you're near a shop that sells them, I wonder if you could ask if you could try connecting it to one of their display chargers to see if it connects to that.  Then you'd know about that possible issue.
