Charge 5 not recording readiness and metrics

I wear my Fitbit Charge 5 all the time except charging.  I get required 3 hours of sleep required. All other metrics like sleep score work. My readiness score does not give reading and says need to wear device 4+plus every night.  The reading is needed to get metrics. Any advice.

Hi, welcome back to the Fitbit Community forums, @Scoho38

Thank you for sharing this information about the inconvenience you're experiencing with your Readiness score and the Charge 5.

Your daily readiness score is based on data collected by your Fitbit device, let me know if you've been getting heart rate data, sleep data and Heart-rate variability (HRV) information. In the meantime, please make sure of the following:

  • Keep in mind that you must be a Fitbit Premium member using a compatible device to see Readiness Score. For a list of compatible devices, see Who can see a daily readiness score in the Fitbit app?
  • To receive your first daily readiness score, you must wear your Fitbit device 14 hours per day for at least 4 days and nights. To continue receiving a score, wear your device 4+ nights per week.
  • If you already received your first score, make sure you wear your device for at least 1 full day (during the day and to sleep at night), then check your score after you wake up in the morning. To see a daily readiness score, you must wear your Fitbit device for at least 14 hours.
  • Make sure the back of your device is in contact with your skin. The band should be snug but not constricting.
  • Most metrics require at least 3 hours of quality sleep. If you move a lot during your sleep or the sleep session is too short, you might not get a reading.

If you're still not receiving readiness score and you meet all the requirements mentioned earlier, please restart your device following these steps:

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end of the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

I'll be around.
