Charge 5 - red X on screen

Hi ,

my fitbit charge 5 is showing a Red Circle with an X on it

 

Any idea how to fix this?

Thank you for sharing the situation you're having with your Charge 5 with us. 

Try to do the following:

  • Sync your tracker with the Fitbit app.
  • On the Today tab, tap the device icon > Charge 5 > Sync Now.
  • If Sync Now doesn't display an update banner, try the following: Open the Fitbit app, tap the device icon > your device > Gallery. The app should display a pop-up to install the missing apps and restore the device.
  • If the firmware update banner doesn't appear, please try restarting your Charge 5:
    • Connect your device to the charging cable. 
    • Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times with a 1-second pause between each press. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.
    • Another way to restart your device is to unplug it, wait a second, and plug it back in. Repeat this process 3 times in an 8 seconds interval and then wait 10 seconds until the device restarts.
