Second Fitbit that I’ve purchased, that hasn’t lasted longer than 2 years. To be exact, I purchased the Charge 5, 1 year and 3 months ago. I contacted Fitbit on October 14, 2023 regarding the screen not lighting up and after trying to resolve the issue, I was re-assured that I would be getting an e-mail to take care of the problem. Here we are October 17, 2023 and had not received the e-mail, so I called again and spoke to a representative, where after 10 minutes send me an e-mail for the warranty. Connected to Allstate warranty provider for Fitbit, just to find out that there’s no warranty. Called Fitbit again, by this time I was frustrated, spoke to the representative and was giving me the NICE run around and she said that she would send me a link to re-submit for the warranty. After going back and forth, I walked to be given information on where I can submit a formal Complaint, she said that she would send an e-mail, at this point I requested to wait on the line until the e-mail came through. I waited for approximately 2 minutes and she came back saying that they don’t have such e-mail to submit formal complaints that I would basically let my frustration at the Community members page. Does anyone know, where in California or our Government in the USA that I can submit a Formal Complaint. I know the cost is not that much, it’s just the constant lying, just to get you off the line.

My Charge four didn't last long, (the screen burnt out) and now my charge 5 has suddenly stopped working properly (The tracker still functions, but the screen goes black for hours at a time) after only about a year and a half. I'm really frustrated that a company that I have been a customer of for years has suddenly started making such crappy products. I can't even access help because it wants me to start a twitter account to talk to anyone, which I refuse to do. I hope you can get some kind of resolution, I feel your pain!

My screen went black yesterday, briefly revived but failed again later and has since died altogether. I'm being sent a replacement under warranty. I'm surprised you need Twitter to access help. If you click on your image in the app, click on help and contact customer support, and tap on the device there's a chat function you can use to get help.
I'm not desperately impressed with the build quality of these. I bought my original 5 when it just came out; it died after a year and I got the next one under warranty. That one has now also died and Fitbit are sending me a third one in two years. Can't fault their customer support though.

My Charge 5 has the black screen issue. I can get the fitbit logo to appear sometimes if I use the button on the charger, but that's it. The device is completely bricked!

Good luck to everyone! I am done with these! They just stop working. And the expectation is that we are now hooked and will just go out and buy another one. Mine is not responding except for the vibration thing it does. Clock face is black, tried following the suggestions for resetting the clockface from gallery, only to discover I could not get the gallery to come up in the phone app AT ALL. Tried the chat and did everything I already tried once again, took too long going back to do something they asked me to do and this caused them to end the chat. Planned obsolescence! I find it strange that so many have it happening at approximately the same time.

I also think it's really weird there's so many folks having the same issue over the past couple of months, I don't like it.
