Hi there, @Rusti702. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that the screen wake feature on your Charge 5 isn't working. I'll be glad to help you!

I agree with @JohnnyRow, this is usually the reason why this feature stops working. When the sleep mode setting is on:

  • Notifications, goal celebrations, and reminders to move are muted.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • The Always-On Display clock face is turned off.
  • The screen stays dark when you turn your wrist.
  • The sleep mode icon illuminates in the quick settings.

To turn off Sleep Mode, please swipe down from the clock face on your watch to access the quick settings. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device?

If the above doesn't describe your issue, please go to your quick settings and check that screen wake hasn't accidentally been turned off. swipe down from the clock screen again and tap the setting to adjust it. Change whether the screen turns on when you turn your wrist.

If this settings is set correctly, please try restarting your Charge 5 by following these steps: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Let us know how it goes.

Check Quick Settings - probably accidentally have Sleep Mode (half moon) turned on, preventing screen on with wrist turn, among other things.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
