I started having a battery issue with my charge 5 today. Also my screen won't turn on. I charged my battery on Wednesday night. It normally lasts me about a week before I recharge (and it's usually at about 20% after the we when I charge it. It lasted this time till today (Monday). So 5 days and was at 1%.... The screen turned off - I assumed cause it's dead. I charged it and noticed the screen was flickering when I did. I left it till 100%. I checked it, and the screen was turning on. There is a red light on the back, it occasionally blinks green, and when it goes green, the screen goes back on - but it's mostly red.
Please help.

The only thing different I've done with my fitbit, was I changed my clock face a few days ago. It didn't fill the screen like the other one did but I used it anyways. My battery was low (3%) I put it on the charger, the screen lit up like it usually does and showed the charger was connected. 30 minutes later I tried to sync my data and it said couldn't connect. Checked my fitbit and the screen won't come on at all. Only thing I did different was downloaded a new clock face (Aura) and now it's dead....

I didn't change anything. 😞
One of their suggestions to problem solve was switching to a Fitbit clockface. I was using the same one I always did, but tried switching - nothing. :(. They're having someone contact me in 24 hours... But I left it on the charger all night - still no screen. It vibrates. But screen is black.
I've always had it in wake with movement... I literally changed nothing.

@AkayD I recommend that you contact Fitbit support. This is what I did when the screen on my 6 month old Charge 5 became non-responsive, like yours. They will walk you through several troubleshooting procedures. Once they confirm that none of the procedures return your device to normal operation, they will send you an email. If your device is still under warranty, the email will contain an offer to replace the tracker/pebble or a discount on a different device. From what I've read on the forums, if your device is out of warranty, the email will contain a discount to buy a replacement from the Fitbit web store.
Note: the discount is on the full price of the device, even if the device is on sale in the Fitbit web store.
So far, my replacement is working fine.

I already emailed. Waiting for my "contact within 24 hours."
Trouble shooting was - charge it.
Reset it (button on the charger) tap 3 times with 1 second in-between each tap.
Change the clock face to a Fitbit one.
I bought it last Jan, so I'm sure it's OOW. :(. But it sounds like there's something (maybe an update) that cause alot of devices to just stop working recently....

I was thinking the same thing myself, seems like several others have the same issue I do, and recently. After a call to customer service with Fitbit, she had me clean the fitbit charger and the back of my fitbit (which were already cleaned last night with alcohol wipes but I did it again) stuck it back on the charger for 1 hour.
After 1 hour I pushed the button on the charger 3x, but my fitbit, still said 0% battery.
I took off the wrist bands, slid the charger up through a full toilet paper roll, so that my fitbit sits ontop if the charger and not laying on its side on my dresser.
Now suddenly it's behaving and it charged to 100%.
But I don't trust that this isn't going to happen again!
(By the way the verticle charge through a toilet paper roll was my idea not Customer Service Troubleshooting hahaha)

UPDATE: it has been sitting at 99% charged for like 15 minutes. I used the washroom, googled Fitbit 99% why won't it reach 100%. Decided its fine. Picked up the fitbit and it's charging again... from 1%!!!! Mine was still under manufacturers warranty so they are sending a new one.... Still makes no sense ive never had issues with it, I don't abuse it, I take it off before I shower.. only thing different I did recently was a new clock face...

Update: I got a 35% discount that is good for 30 days (they're extending it to 60 days). It's charging, it vibrates, just no screen. It did get up to 100%, but does quicker than normal. The screen showed up this morning for about a minute, then was gone again and won't come back.
I propably can't afford one till maybe the summer (birthday time). So I might find a different company for my smart watch. Cause it should last more than 13 months. For now I'm using my old inspire, but it doesn't have as many features - which is why I upgraded. Seems like the more you spend on a Fitbit - the earlier it dies. Lesson learned.

Sadly I got the same offer... But not only can I not afford a new Fitbit - but why would I want to spend the money to get a watch that will only last 13 months?

Yea with so many suddenly having this issue within a couple days it is unlikely to be a coincidence and likely caused by the company. So disappointing. I am even more disappointed that I followed steps on another post by a moderator which made this worse as now my device is no longer synced to my phone and so now I have no way to get the data from my device. I too will wait for my email, but I am not very optimistic.

This is the same issue as i am having but mine is one month past its warranty. I am waiting to hear back from customer support at the moment but don't think i will have much luck.
