Can someone from Fitbit please help?

my charge 5 stopped working and I have a black screen.

i went to bed with 97% charge and when I woke in the morning the Fitbit was dead.

I put it on the usb charger and my app told me it had the full 100% after charging.

however, I can’t get ANY response from it to switch back on, black screen nothing! 

I checked the app again it still has 44% charge now but I can’t wake it up….any help appreciated 

WAS IT THE NEW UPGRADE ?????

I've got the same problem. Blank screen but get notifications saying the battery is low and when I recharge the logo shows for a while. Nothing else though.

Yup. Same here!!  A friend is suffering the same issues... That can't be a coincidence. What's going on.. Maybe Fitbit are messing with it to attempt to get more sales, it is Xmas after all.  Don't think I will be getting another Fitbit, will look at getting something else instead.

Good luck getting sorted everyone. I'll keep checking just in case it rights itself... 😁😁😁

I spoke to the support team and I’m getting a replacement sent out.
I need to return my old one first.

Mine just turned One y/o, after updating to their "latest" firmware my Chagre 5 bricked, died after 20 mins even when fully charged, contacted Fitbit (when they were not acquired by Google) they dishonoured the warranty and blamed me for whatever reason is and they offered me...10% discount (WTH)

I will stay away from this company (even under Google's acquisition) and won't buy or use any device even if I get it for free

Vibrates … can’t since because
Of BLACK SCREEN !!!

The watch started working now all of a sudden.
I have updated the watch face.

Nope, I don't think we can, there is no way to factory reset or update to *newest* firmware

I have the same problem.  This afternoon I noticed the screen was black and I thought it was a battery issue.  I went to the app and it said the battery was at 64%. It still vibrates when i get a text. I have tried the restart with the 3 button pushes. I tried holding down the button for 15 seconds.  Nothing. When a call came in, the screen flashed on momentarily then back to black. Frustration!!

I contacted customer support and have just received a brand new Charge 5 after returning my old one.

I had warranty till October, by Nov 1st week this issue started and Google is not ready to replace.

8 months old- would have been in warentee, but because I purchased on Amazon, from an unauthorized vendor, they would not allow any compensation or replacement. Given all the other common posts with the same issue, it’s apparent they have an inherent programming/ upgrade defect and are limiting exposure by citing technicalities contained in their user agreements, policies, etc.
If the company will not support their product at 8 months old, it’s time to move on.

Another individual, personally known to me, also has same issue. Black screen about one week ago.

Recommending to everyone I know to avoid their products.

Got my Fitbit working again for 5th time...

Had a reset now. Will keep here posted if the issue occurs again.
