Charge 5 stuck on the Fitbit logo

My 13 month old fitbit charge 5 is stuck on the logo screen. I have read and followed the advice to no avail in the following links:

            To get past the logo screen I let the FC5 discharge completely. After a day or so I charge the fitbit. It then seems to behave normally until the next time it is on my wrist during exercise.
            Perhaps the fitbit was not designed to be worn during exercise?
            The FC5 is about 13 months old. 
            Is that the expected life of a fitbit product?

Experienced the same. Contacted Fitbit and they said they'd replace the device, so I would suggest doing that.

Be prepared for a horrible customer service experience though...

how many folk have this problem? they offer to replace mine at half cost, but after 13 months? Shouldn't it last longer?  I got a wind up Timex watch, with moving parts - it lasted for decades...
