My charge 5 just suddenly showed the Fitbit logo and got stuck there for like an hour. Goo g through the restart with the button 3 times it rebooted but keeps stuck on the logo, then it's like if it rebooting again and stuck again on the logo looping. Trying another restart did not make any difference. Also, the charge 5 does not sync anymore (try changing the face but not sync).
Another thing I noticed was a still red light on the sensor. I left the charge to drain the battery, and charged it again, but it does the same immediately, just looping on and off every few seconds on the logo.
I don't know if there was an auto update, I tried to disable feature before but the app does not allow it, was Fitbit forces updates.
I see many others had this issue,
It reminds me a bit like the case of Samsung and Apple...

Hello @ethical
There's an unorthodox method that a Charge 5 user tried that restored their device, which was exposing their Charge 5 to freezer temps. This thread (<-- click) describes what they did. This method worked for some, but not all users. Still, it might be worth a try.
