My Charge 5 won’t hold a charge for more than 3-4 now. I’ve had it for over a year and it used to maintain charge for 7-8 days . I sync every week. Any ideas??

Hi, @NinaH0105 , as I am sure you are aware, all rechargeable batteries have a limited life span (or more accurately full charge cycles). Just how long that life is depends on many factors, and a really important one is how often the battery is allowed to discharge deeply. If for much of the year you have been letting your battery go for 7-8 days before recharging, then it seems likely that the battery was regularly deeply discharged (went to 20% charge or below.)
Regularly deeply discharging any rechargeable battery will significantly reduce its life. To get the longest life from your battery charging little and often is ideal. Many Fitbit users find it convenient to pop their device on the charger while they are showering or getting ready in the morning. Just ten or fifteen minutes a day will keep the battery happy and your Fitbit always ready, and it also gives your wrist a wrest.
Of course 3 to 4 days battery life is still very good, but as your Charge 5 is now showing some signs of battery loss, I would really recommend more frequent top ups. Ideally aim to recharge no later than when your battery reaches 20%.
I hope this helps. Welcome to the Community Forums!
