Charge 5 won’t sync

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

All morning my charge 5 won’t sync to my iPhone 11. I’ve gone through every step including uninstalling the app, turning blue tooth off and on, pairing again, restarting both devices. Only thing I haven’t done is a factory reset which I had to do last month when alarms stopped working and I don’t really want to do again if that’s not the problem.

So, my Fitbit quit syncing yesterday.  (8-24).  I use an iPad, no gps, and the devices are only about 3 seconds apart.  Any suggestions?

Don't blame engineering.  Blame the upper level management and finance. Engineering designs products to meet requirements which is determined by management and finance.  All too often we are told to cut costs, reduce functionality, make it smaller, lighter, etc.  Something has to give and it is usually quality and performance.

If it is a stupid feature but it works: blame management.   If it is a stupid feature and it doesn't work: blame engineering.   If it is a good feature but it doesn't work: blame engineering.  Management does not instruct engineering to break things.  Engineering caves to management to meet a release deadline by telling management "it works" when in fact it clearly doesn't.

I get what you are saying but their customer service has been abysmal if not non existent. At one point I was told by them that they were working on an update that would fix it but couldn't tell me when it would be available and had no help for me. They have never once acknowledged there is an issue or even apologized for it; just the standard steps of making sure its update to date. It becomes a waste of time to even talk to them.

Mine hasn’t synced since the 18th August… I am waiting for Apple to launch and then I will jump in and invest in an Apple Watch.  So sad because Fitbit were so brilliant!

Same problem. Yesterday mine lost the ability to sync. I have owned it for about a month without syncing problems until yesterday

 So frustrating

Has Fitbit said anything about this recently? Right now it feels like I'm wearing some costly junk on my wrist.

There has been nothing from Fitbit. You would think they’d realize that there is a dumpster fire occurring on their very own boards, but the only people I’ve seen comment are the engineers and customer service people who say not to blame them.

Hey everyone, if I understand things correctly, you are posting to a thread that has an "Answer/solution". I am assuming that this is because the thread is pinned. Part of the problem, in my mind, is this. People should either create a new thread for their sync issues, or post on an existing thread, such as my more recent: Charge 5 still not syncing

Hey charleskin, if this thread has allready had a answer/solution and the pages are still mounting up on this thread, hence, Does that not mean that the answer was not a solution or that the solution was not answered?

That, my friend, would be a logical thought process. However, if Fitbit uses these thread like a sort of trouble ticket system, they won't pay attention to "solved issues", which is the way industry uses trouble tickets. From their side, they only have to work the "unsolved" issues, which means they are likely ignoring peoples comment about current issues that are occurring AFTER the solution, which is super frustrating for everyone. I am pretty sure that one of the Fitbit mods made a comment to this effect recently.

@YojanaFitbit Given the number of posts of continued problems, after this solution was posted as a best answer, it would seems the problem persists (it certainly has for me). Can we at least unpin this thread so that people don't continue posting about their devices not syncing to a thread with a "best answer"?
