All morning my charge 5 won’t sync to my iPhone 11. I’ve gone through every step including uninstalling the app, turning blue tooth off and on, pairing again, restarting both devices. Only thing I haven’t done is a factory reset which I had to do last month when alarms stopped working and I don’t really want to do again if that’s not the problem.

My Charge also stopped syncing yesterday afternoon. App just says “looking” and will not connect. Suggestions? Thanks.

Still only partially syncing... Recognises steps, distance etc but doesn't synce hourly movements or calories.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @Subha647.
I appreciate all the information you've provided about these issues with your Charge 5.
Let me know if you're still having trouble to sync your device. There was an outage some days ago that should be resolved but I know that some user are still experiencing some problems. In the meantime, let me know if you already tried all the steps listed here to resolve syncing problems. There was also a new version of the Fitbit app that was released recently, make sure to keep the Fitbit app updated to the latest version available and check the compatibility requirements listed here.
Regarding the problem with the notifications, you can also try these troubleshooting steps and keep in mind that you won’t see notifications on your Fitbit device if you turned on the Do Not disturb Icon or Sleep Mode.
Hope this helps, I'll be around.

@jillbolshaw I was ready to jump ship to Garmin, but I watched YouTube videos and the Charge 5 has better performance in tracking steps and heartbeat. I'm patiently waiting for my Charge 5 replacement to arrive. I sent my bricked Charge 5 back and they should be getting it on Monday. Definitely will not be updating the firmware when it arrives. I don't want to start a Fitbit vs Garmin debate, just giving my findings.

Thanks Birder! However, I’ve been wearing my husband’s and my charge5 both (same arm, 1” apart). Sometimes they read the same. This morning one gave my heart rate as 123, the other as 74. Yesterday, while one read my steps as 3670, the other had 1132. If it would just “not work” sometimes, I could maybe deal with that, but now I have no idea if the numbers are accurate.
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately now other problems with my 2 Charge 5’s have emerged. Hubby & I had one of the first (very simple) Fitbits about a decade ago, if we went on a walk together, they always agreed on distance. Our 2 Charge 5’s sometimes agree, sometimes are significantly different. I just no longer trust the product. If I still had the “extra” watchbands, I’d return both. Lesson learned for me.

I have to turn off my I pad and just have it sync through my iPhone 11. Seems to work for me. Have been very frustrated by this and Troy many other things. Hope it works for others.

I have a new 5 and a new pixel 6a. Everybody talks to everybody. But there are some data problems:
- No steps are recorded. The devise will tell me how many km I have gone.
- There is no indication that I have had any "exercise."
- There is no sign I have had any "sleep."
Just no data.
Clearly, there are quality control shortcomings!
Is anybody satisfied that the problems have been resolved?
I have my doubts.

Mine only stopt syncing for about half a day, since then and before the, everything works just fine. Never misses any steps, exercise(surfing, mountainbiken, walks etc.) heartbeats or whatever data. I am using mine almost a month now.

I had the same issue and returned it. Very discouraged, I loved it. Back to my inspire2. If they get it stabilized I will try one again

Since yesterday I've again been having sync problems - it manages to succeed 1-2x daily but that's it. No sync since 5:44am this morning .
