Daily readiness not working

ANSWERED

Never used readiness score, didn’t even know it existed before the latest update. I thought it was new? Anyway, the app keeps saying to wear my device for seven more days. It’s definitely been more than seven days. I look at the data and I have no scores whatsoever. Do I need to turn something on somewhere? Or is this just not functional?

RiekoC, I know I’m late in responding but after following your instructions and clearing other data and waiting several days to accumulate data both sleep but more importantly daily readiness started working and has continued working just fine since early January. Thanks much.

Hi I’m still trying to get readiness working for my charge 5. I was a premium member on an older android phone but it ended mid Feb. I couldn’t update my Fitbit App on my Android so I have now switched the app to my work phone an iPhone SE and I have reinstalled the app and updated it to version 4.37. Readiness still does show and instead my Fitbit prompts me to go back to premium  membership. But my understanding is the readiness is free to uk Fitbit members without having to take premium. Can you help at all? Thank you for reading.

My daily readiness score stopped working March 4. I have a Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel 7 phone. The Fitbit app is on version 4.38. I've tried all solutions mentioned on this board, but still not working.

Hello @ImagineXLS

Are you also having issues with sleep or heart rate tracking? The Daily Readiness algorithm uses data from your sleep tracking. If you're having problems with sleep tracking, you won't get a Daily Readiness score.

No, sleep tracking is working fine.

If you followed the process to clear all data and then reboot the app, I found it takes several days to accumulate all necessary data to put out a readiness number. Hope this helps.

@Rvested - thanks for that tip. Since I did clear all data, I will report back after a few days.

@Rvested - quick follow up. Still not getting daily readiness score. Also noticed my sleep tracking is more basic, ie no REM, Deep, light etc. Any ideas?

FYI - it's been showing up now. 2 days in a row. Hope it keeps up.

Same for me, 2 days in a row. I'm not getting my hopes up high that it'll last, though...

Hello @Ragu88

This help page explains how the updated Daily Readiness score is calculated (<-- click link).

If you are consistently getting a low Daily Readiness score, that indicates to me that some of your metrics are exceeding your personal limits. What do you see when you tap on the Daily Readiness tile? You should see the breakdown & what is causing the low Readiness score.

Thanks for your response. In looking at today's score, there's nothing to
indicate what's keeping it so low.

And to be at 15 every day, for a couple of months, seems to me as if
something's not working.

Hello @Ragu88

That's definitely not the expected behavior.

When you open the page to look at your Daily Readiness score, what does it say for each of the metrics?

Are you an iOS or Android user? Which version of the Fitbit app do you have?

Hi,

I'm an Android user, and never had this issue with my "Readiness" until
recently.

I'm on Fitbit 4.39.2.

I'm now using a Sense (as of early this week), but was using a Versa 3 and
thought that switching may resolve the problem, but no luck.

I've attached 2 screenshots of my Device info, for reference. My Daily
Readiness seemed to continue to drop and has been stuck at 15 since at
least March 13th.

Hello @Ragu88

Thank you for your response & info. Unfortunately, your screenshots didn't upload to your post.

When you open the Daily Readiness page from the Today page, what do you see in the What impacted your readiness section? What do you see for each of these metrics?

  • Heart rate variability (HRV)
  • Past week of sleep
  • Resting heart rate (RHR)

Hello @Ragu88

Thank you for your response and confirming that you're not seeing anything on the Daily Readiness page that would result in a low score.

Although I'm not sure that this will work, you could try clearing the storage/data for the Fitbit app on your phone. Do a manual sync first. After you clear the storage/data for the Fitbit app, you will need to log back in. However, you shouldn't have any loss of data, especially if you do a manual sync first. Most likely, you won't see a change in the Readiness score until tomorrow.

I also suggest submitting this issue using the Feedback option in the Fitbit app

  • Tap on your picture in the upper right of the Today page
  • Tap on Feedback in the menu that opens
  • Complete the prompts and submit

Although it's likely that you won't receive a response, the team receives & reviews the feedback reports.

Ive been wearing my Fitbit Versa religiously since last year except for a couple of nights when the battery died. I have had NO readiness scores in the last year even though there is data for each of the factors and I'm a premium member. This feature stinks, and so does customer service. How do I personally get in touch with tech support? This forum and your articles are NOT resolving my problem.
This will be copy pasted as an app review with one star if it isn't resolved.

I'm using a Fitbit Sense and while I do receive a Readiness score, it's been the same readiness score now for a couple of months -15. So far I've received no helpful response to resolve the issue
