Hi, @Stevenel , have you tried giving your Fitbit a restart ?  A restart can fix many issues.  I would also recommend uninstalling your ECG app and then re-installing it.  To uninstall go to your app, and from the opening, Today, screen click on the person photo/icon top left to go to the Account screen.  There please click on your Charge 5 picture and on the next screen choose Gallery at the top and then “apps”.  Select the ECG app and click uninstall.  Make sure you sync your Charge 5 after uninstalling.  Confirm that ECG is no longer on your Charge 5.

Next return to your Gallery and apps, and then re-install the ECG app.  Sync your Charge 5 and confirm that the ECG app is back on your device.

This doesn't help with your ECG problem, but ECG has nothing to do with Premium.  It is available with or without Premium.

Sorry but I don't know what the problem is.  Is there an other message with the error?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hello @ShieShetty , @Linzdg1984 , & @Caro134552

Although I haven't seen this posted in the forum as a suggested troubleshooting step for this issue, you might want to try going into your phone/tablet App settings and doing a Force Stop on the Fitbit app. I suggest also clearing the cache/storage. Then reopen the Fitbit app and see if you can uninstall the ECG app.

It's a good idea to do a sync before you do a Force stop & clearing the cache/storage.

Yes I did lol, saw someone’s post on a SENSE - try turning and restarting BOTH your phone app and watch reboot at the same time - not individually weirdly!! - and turn both back on and see if it clears.

So try the watch reboot and restarting phone at exactly same time - if not try watch reboot and uninstalling and reinstalling app at same time. But the first worked for me after 4 hours of trying everything else!

This didn't work for me. Can someone advise as to what countries this works in? I'm in South Africa and suspect it's not working here?

Hello & welcome @AliRice

According to this page, it looks like ECG has been approved for use in South Africa: Fitbit Irregular Rhythm Notifications & ECG app

You might want to contact Fitbit support to see if they can get the app working for you (hopefully this link works for you): Fitbit support

HI STEV

I had the same issue so what I did was two things and it works completely fine👍

1. Check the location in the fitbit app (you will find this in two tabs)

go to the APP

top left SETTINGS button

you will see APP SETTINGS (do locations that are allowed for ECG)

after that in the same page top you will find the profile there if u go change the location is possible) once done it should worl else return and take refund 😊

2. Unpair and restart

all done

Wish this had worked for me.  Locations was set correctly but anyway I changed it to Automatic Location instead of Select location since you said it should be changed. I did an unpair and restarted both my Android and Charge 5.  ECG still hangs while trying to find my pulse.  Then I need to wait for it to timeout and reset the Charge 5 before it displays as usual.
