Many times when using the ECG function I receive a message that it did not record and I am to open the app. I open the app, turn the Bluetooth off and then on. Sometimes it works but most times it does not work. Very frustrating. What is causing this problem? What does it mean when it says to “open app”? Once open, what is the next step? Thanks.

Hello @ram1946
Sorry to see that you are having problems with the ECG function. I agree that it's confusing when the message tells you to open the "app" considering there's the ECG app on your device and the Fitbit app.
You might want to try uninstalling the ECG app on your Charge 5, then re-installing it. To do this:
Hopefully, this will get the ECG function "unstuck" so that it will work for you.

Welcome back to the community @ram1946.
I'm sorry to see the situation that you are experiencing with the ECG function. Thanks for trying to fix it on your own through the steps that you did.
Is your Charge 5 syncing correctly? Have you also completed the Heart Rhythm Assessment on the Fitbit app?
In the meantime, please give a try to the following steps:

Hello @ram1946
Just a clarification about ManuFitbit 's instructions above. You will need to tap on the "You" tab from the Today page in the updated Fitbit app to get to Assessments & Reports. The "Discover" tab is from the previous version of the Fitbit app.

I recommend checking device compatibility, updating the app and your device, ensuring Bluetooth is connected, and verifying app permissions.
