Well well, is this THE fix I wonder.

Lost my original Charge 5 following failed update to 194.61 leaving indication it was on previous firmware level.

FB supplied replacement which I kept on previous firmware until an hour ago when I did a check and then easy upgrade to 194.91.

It all went through with no issues.

Just updated my 2 year old Charge 5 to 194.91. All good so far. Wish we could get the real story about these updates.

I did the firmware upgrade the other day with no problems. I did, however, plan ahead and put the Charge 5 on the charger. I also put the phone on charge (Samsung A54 with Android 14) and left both alone until the firmware update was finished. Have not noticed any new features. Fitbit battery seems to be doing well but I still have the GPS set to phone. My Charge 5 is approaching two years old and I was planning to get a Charge 6 on a Christmas sale but may hold off for a while.

My update went through with no issues. I thought the problem was solved. Nope. 4.5 minutes into a long run, it died. This is beyond ridiculous.
