Hi all,

I'm considering purchasing a Charge 5 and have a question about the built-in GPS. On the Fitbit website on this, the descriptions says....

 

"Go phone-free on outdoor runs, hikes and rides with real-time pace & distance powered by built-in GPS. Then get a workout intensity map in the Fitbit app to see your pace and heart rate zones throughout your route*. And take your runs or walks up a notch with guided audio workouts available with your 6-month Premium membership. ***"

 

Does the 6-month Premium membership only refer to the guided audio workouts or does it mean that without the 6-month Premium membership, you can't use the built-in GPS at all?

You can use the built in GPS without a premium subscription. What you can't do apparently is export your GPS data without one.

If I was buying again, I'd go Garmin. These subscription based services that limit your access to your own data are bull**ahem**.
