A few days ago my Charge 5 stopped showing historical step count data. It shows current but when you click today’s steps to go to daily/weekly/yearly steps, the section that typically shows the data is just grey blocks. I’ve logged out of Fitbit and force stopped. No change
Hello @Rcnelson56 , @thesmallerhalf , @SpringMesa
Are you not seeing historical data for any other metric, other than steps? If so, please let us know which ones.

Hi everybody! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you're doing well.
Thank you for reporting this issue. @SpringMesa this is an issue more related to the Fitbit app. As @RiekoC has suggested, it a great idea to report this issue via the app itself.
In addition, i'm glad to inform that this issue has already been reported, escalated and currently being investigated. Some users have been able to resolve the issue by uninstalling/reinstalling the app as you @SpringMesa may have already noticed.
Any fix for this, well be releasing it as soon as it's available. I appreciate your patience.
I am having the same problem! When I log into fitbit.com, it reports an "internal server problem" and no data is displayed.

Could you please confirm if you tried to uninstall / reinstall the app ? This one time exception workaround worked for some users.

2. Uninstall the Fitbit App.
3. Reinstall the Fitbit App.

While deleting and reinstalling App has solved historical data issue. I still have related problem:
Charge 5 screen will not turn on when battery level is still ~85% full. It seems to still track data. It also happens when I open App and swipe down to sync data. By connecting/disconnecting to charger several times, the screen will then work for a while. And data will be updated in App.
So everyday I need to connect/disconnect to charger several times to fix issue.
Best AnswerDoes this not delete data (as Apple warns it will)??
Best AnswerNo data is lost. See other replies that confirm this.
