Anyone has experienced how to stop the notification to add card in Charge 5? I don’t intend to activate card in Charge 5 wallet, and it becomes annoying this notification prompts each time we sync the device.

Yesterday or the day before I pretended to enter a card in the app but backed out of the process. I have not gotten a notice since then. We’ll see if this holds…

Best AnswerJust so you are aware. NFC doesn't work... Tried it today, got a message " please use 1 card". Well there is only one card in the wallet. By the way, the wallet app crashes consistently. The only thing that works is the clock.
Best AnswerIt still persists
Happens in spurts , and when it does, it sends the notification repeatredly
Most annoying, it's happened in the middle of the night, every 5 minutes, with a vibration notification, even though I've turned off every possible notification I can find
I also have no interest in using this for payments-
Based on the lack of logic that I keep getting these notifications, I don't trust it would be secure
Forced to use a tracker for insurance discounts for fitness
Will be asking my employer to use a different platform, as fitbit is no longer useful and reliable, seems to be case since they were bought by Google, who appears to want it to wither away.
don't understand how this can be a best answer. my device is blocked dead by this fault and can not change the screen, change via the app and battery drains in an hour. Screen states add card and is locked on that statement.
When I called support the other day, the rep had me connect the phone charger then push the button three times on the USB connector end to perform a reset. After the reset, he said I should wait for the watch to fully power then unplug it and record how long it took for the battery to discharge. If it was less than a day, I should call back to request a warranty replacement. I found it interesting that he never mentioned anything about the REAL issue. It felt like he was giving me an out without actually saying that it was the only real resolution. OK, battery's discharging too fast, let's replace the watch. Rather than try for a replacement right away, I played along.
I was happy for quite some time before getting the typical BUZZZZ at 6:37 am and 6:42 am and... After getting ready for work, I just put the watch back on without thinking. And to my utter amazement, it's been on my wrist for two days and the battery is only down to 29% because it hasn't "reminded" me to add a card to the wallet since!
I hope you ALL have a similar outcome.
Best AnswerAny update? This is extremely annoying and literally freezes my watch. Also, why do we even need the card feature? This is a fitness watch. We want it to track fitness, not add credit cards to it. So stupid
Best AnswerUsing the method outlined by Star55, it was fixed for my wife for about a month. Then it returned with a vengeance. Trying to add a card and backing out no longer works for her.
My biggest gripe about this was all the articles saying how great the Charge5 was. No where did it say it will wake you up at night to remind you about the Fitbit pay that you don't want to use! Fun times!
I did all those things, and it got better for a week or two. I was ready to write on this forum that it healed itself! Then I started having other problems - the battery would just die with no warning (even though I wasn’t getting these card notices, or would only get one or two a day.) The last two times I fully charged it, it died in an hour. Suddenly. I also stopped getting other notices like when I got a text or a calendar notice.
I have loved Fit Bits and used them daily for about 10 years, but I was reluctant to get another Charge. I just got an Apple Watch; I miss the FitBit interface but hopefully I will get more comfortable with the Apple Watch. It is nice to be fully integrated with my phone.
My Fitbit got better… I was only getting notices occasionally. I was actually going to post something on this forum again. Then they started happening more frequently, but - worse - my battery just started dying suddenly and I wasn’t even getting the notice of a low battery. I had been a Fitbit lover since about 2012, but I couldn’t bring myself to buy another one. This Charge 5 that was giving me such headaches was about a year old. So, I recently got an Apple Watch. I wasn’t happy about leaving Fitbit…
I am going through the same thing. Frequent add card notifications and battery sometimes only lasting one day. It’s only beem 6 months since I bought it. Probably my last fit bit if they don’t update the bug.
Best AnswerI started getting the add card notifications yesterday, every few minutes. Found this thread and tried many of the options noted here to fix. Nothing worked until I tried going into the process of actually adding a card and backing out without completing it. I went through as far as the page where you add the card number but did not enter anything, then stopped.
I did this before I went to sleep last night and have not seen a notification since. I am hoping it lasts..
