Hi, anyone else had a night when their heart rate did not drop below their resting heart rate at all? - 0% ?!
Thank you,
Ruth x
Also intrigued if others’ sleeping heart rate goes up and down all the time, in a very ‘lively’, ‘staccato’ pattern.

Hi @RuthDuffy
I've had nights where my heart rate at night doesn't go below my resting heart rate at all or the % is very low. It used to bother me a bit since that data factors into our sleep score. But, I've come to accept that's one metric that we don't have much control over.
My nightly heart rate chart is also very "lively". But to me, that makes sense as we go through the various sleep stages, especially REM. A nightmare would surely get our hearts going.
It could be that as we get ourselves more fit, we'll see better & more frequent % below our night time resting heart rate. Still, it's not easy to figure out how to actively improve that particular metric.
I am trying to be more consistent with doing daily meditations. You can check out the Coach tab in the Fitbit app for relaxing & breathing sessions. I believe there are some free ones available.
Personally, my thought is that if you feel well rested in the morning & not groggy, then you should be okay.

You're so welcome, @RuthDuffy . It is rather disconcerting when we get that 0% score, like I did earlier this month. And, that wasn't the only time I've seen that score.
I am honored to have you consider me as a mentor. I'm just another Fitbit user who is here to help my fellow users.
BTW, if you ever want to get my attention so I can help you with a question, you can type the @ followed by my name RiekoC. That will put my name in your post and I'll get a notification that you are calling out to me.
