JUNK?

Had a fit bit Charge 5, the first time I got it wet it stopped working.  I contacted support and they sent me a replacement.  The replacement was dead on arrival.  I have been talking to customer support on and off the 4 weeks and getting the run around all that time.  Does FIT BIT actually honor their warranties?  Has anyone ever gotten a working replacement from them?  Should I just go get an apple watch?

Sounds very annoying. I got a replacement, and it worked fine so I think you're just unlucky.

You should definitely be helped though. I take it you charged the new device completely before trying it out?

Yes, charged it fully.  Contacted support again.  They said it needed to replaced and then continued to tell me that the replacement they sent for the in warranty fit bit that broke after spending less that 5 minutes in the water was no in warranty because it was a replacement.  After arguing that logic with support for a while the agreed to replace it if I send the DOA one back.  Which I send FEDEX from California to California on June 4th.  It still mysteriously hasn't arrive back to FIT BIT.  I could have drove it there from where I sent it within an hour.  Supper fishy.  The support staff are un knowledgeable about the product and very unhelpful.  (it's not their fault as they obviously are not trained and are getting paid pennies)  But hey FIT BIT can make larger profit if they sell junk that breaks within 3 months and then come up with excuses not to honor their warranties and figure people will just buy a second and third etc... NOPE.  I'm done FIT BIT PRODUCTS SUCK AND THE COMPANY IS DISHONEST AND HAVE HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES.  I'm gonna get an apple watch.
