My Charge 5 is unresponsive and shows an X

I have a charge 5 that appeared this morning with an x on the screen. I have tried what the forums suggest, including unpairing from my phone, restarting phone, and also trying to restart the device using the button in the cable. None of that has produced any change. Is there a way to restart the device without using the cable? Other than that, what else can I do?

Thank you so much for letting us know about this situation and for all your efforts.

Another way to restart your device instead of pressing the button located on the flat end of the charger, is to unplug it, wait a second, and plug it back in. Repeat this process 3 times in an 8 seconds interval and then wait 10 seconds until the device restarts.
