For two years in a row now my Fitbit Charge 5 has stopped holding a charge for a few weeks and then fixed itself.
Last June I noticed my Fitbit wouldn't hold a charge. I tried restarting it multiple times, leaving it on the charger for a while, etc and nothing worked. I would take it off the charger at 100% and ten/fifteen minutes later it would be completely dead with no battery left. After a few days of trying I just let it die completely and then left it alone. About a week later I decided to try it again and low and behold it changed up and held the charge. It hasn't had an issue since. Until this June when it did the exact same thing. Suddenly stopped holding a charge, I tried to fix it, let it start dead for a week or so, and then charged it up and had no issues.
Anyone have any similar issues or insights as to what the heck is going on? Like, I'm thrilled it's working again because replacing it would be a pain, but the timing is pretty odd.

Welcome to the forums @elfoo.
Thank you for sharing your query about your Charge 5. We are sorry to hear that you have been having difficulties with it for a while now.
I'd suggest you take a look at this help article and confirm that you are following all the steps listed: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

Hello @elfoo
When my Charge 5 started having rapid battery drain, I restarted and recharged my device multiple times over several days. As soon as I noticed the battery% had a big drop, I restarted my device then put it on the charger, often doing this multiple times in a day. This process eventually got my Charge 5 "unstuck" and the battery life went back to lasting 6-7 days. Although there's no guarantee that this will work, it might be worth a try.
