Should Charge 5 display a map for connected GPS?

My charge 5 doesn’t show a mapped route on phone connected gps. My charge 2 did this without issue. 

It shows the map if I use the fitbit gps sure. But I would like to not always use my Fitbit gps due to battery life concerns. This was a charge 2 capability so I would think the charge 5 would have it. 

 

Is this feature coming? This is a return reason for me otherwise.

Connected (and on-device) both show a map in the app (after the exercise is complete.) I'm wondering if you have GPS enabled on the phone when you are using connected GPS?  On the C5 there is a little symbol on the display showing a phone for connected GPS and a tracker for on-device GPS.  Are you seeing those symbols during an exercise?
