Where'd my steps go?!

I had over 17k steps before I went to work today. Some time during my 7 hours on my feet, my Charge 5 died. I didn't get a warning about that. I have it plugged in now, but it says I have only 509 steps!!! I should have well over 25k!!!! If anyone has any clue, I'd like my steps back.

My issue is similar but not the same.  Sometime yesterday my FitBit stopped syncing to app.
