Anyone noticing a significant difference between app step count and device step count? App count is approximately 1,500 steps higher than what Charge 6 indicates. My husband's Charge 6 is doing the same thing.

I have the same issue.
Watch says 8500 steps and the app says 9500 steps.

Is your app set to use the phone to record steps?

I'm not sure I know what that means?

Do you have the app setup to count your steps?

I believe I figured out why my step count was so high in the app. I had both my phone and my Fitbit Charge 6 counting my steps. I disconnected my phone from " connected to Fitbit" and the issue has been resolved.

Hello @lhammerman @KatieM1234
Have you had a chance to check to see if your phone is a connected device in the Fitbit app? If it's not, then your step count issue is likely related to the problem on the Fitbit side.
I saw a Moderator post today (12 Sep 2024) acknowledging the syncing issues and data transfer errors. He said that the team is working on identifying a resolution as quickly as possible.
For now, there's nothing more that we can do on our side.
