I just bought a Fitbit Charge 6, because of its capability to do an ECG and to monitor A-fib.
I followed instructions to set up up ECG, but there is no no ECG tile under Health Assessments. Health Assessments has only two tiles (High Heart Rate Notifications and Low Heart Rate Notifications).
I tried:
All to no avail. The ECG tile never shows up.
I am using a Samsung Galaxy A04, running Android 14 and Samsung One UI 6.1.

Both my Charge 6 and Pixel 3 watch now fail to measure ECG as of today. It must be a problem with the latest Google or Fitbit app. I'm in Australia.

Just adding to the thread. UK here. Purchased my Charge 6 yesterday for the ecg. Currently trying to decide whether I'm suffering the same problem as you all or if I have a bigger problem. Have tried all the tips and tricks I've seen other people mention when their's are playing up (location, resets...). Has this happened to anyone before, and if so, how long did you have to wait on a fix?

Update: I have heard the following from Fitbit team. Obviously does not explain why existing users experience this issue.
---------
Hello XXX,
Thanks for reaching out to the Fitbit Customer Care Team.
For new users like yourself, your device needs a short period of about 5 days to gather and analyze the necessary data. Think of it like your device getting to know you! During this time, it's learning your patterns.
Once this initial 5-day period is complete, you'll be able to setup ECG app.

I'm in the UK. Have had my fitbit since December & have never had a problem before. This one is so annoying as it's the main thing I use it for.
Haven't yet heard back from Support. If everyone gets onto them hopefully they can fix it soon!
---
That's very strange as I had the health assessment Tabs as soon as I set up my fitbit. I could run ecgs & export data immediately! I am in the U.K.
Be interested in how you get on.

Thanks for that. I've looked through so many posts and never seen mention of having to wait. I also have an open case with support and it wasn't mentioned over the phone as the problem. The trouble is, if this was affecting everyone, these forums would have blown up. We're in that awkward position where we're a handful of users all seeing the same problem. At least if mine doesn't start working, I've got time to get my money back!
Will post here if I get any further with it

Clearly they aren't paying attention to the stated problem.. I got a reply from a 'developer' telling me how to go to the Health Assesments section to find the ECG tile. My orig post specifically said the ECG tile was now missing from the Health Assessment Section of the Fitbit phone app.

For those who need an ecg/ekg printable PDF file the Kardia Mobile 6L is a a good option. The less expensive one will give the same 1 lead report like FitBit but the 6L (6-lead) will be much better. It's no so convenient as FitBit ECG but better results when you need good. There is no subscription charge for getting the PDF files. For convenience, FitBit is good, but for now it doesn't work. For real heart issues it's important the device works when needed.

With 2 Charge 6's for 2 different accounts for more than 1 year, this isn't a problem just for new uses. It has been working fine for more than a year and worked right from the start. l It's just now FitBit managed to mess up things.

I too have the same problem from the UK. Have pixel watch 2 this is working but the ECG tile is missing from health assessment section of the fitbit app. Clearly something is wrong with Fitbit added note...I have pixel watch 2 and Google pro 7 and then pro 8 and have had for well over a year with no issues. It's certainly is a recent issue

Yes, exactly right. Mine worked from first purchase in December up until Friday.
On Thursday 8th May I did an ecg & exported the data. Friday 9th May went to download the data & ecg tab wasn't there!
---
Am wondering if the ecg on the watch is working correctly!
I have been in AF & now it's showing NSR.

In most case it detects AFIB correctly, it is FDA approved.

What is NSR?

Same happening with my Sense 2 had since 2023 and it's worked until a few days ago. I now can't send report to my consultant. In UK.

Same problem for me (Sense 2) and my wife (Charge 6). I have been onto support who said they were aware of an issue but didn’t say what it was or when / if it would get fixed. We both REALLY need the ECG function so will return the watches for refunds and go elsewhere if it’s not resolved on the basis the watches are not fit for purpose.

Its really bad. If it can't do an ECG, then it's being falsely advertised. I literally googled 'ecg watch' when I was browsing for what to buy.
Someone from fitbit should comment on this thread to confirm what's happening. I too will be after a refund if this isn't resolved quickly.
