Charge 6 - Recovery Mode

After a short illness where I wasn't wearing my Charge 6, it only shows Recovery mode.  It no longer suggests goals for cardio load.  I've tried restarting, twice.

Hello @MaureenOrchard

It sounds to me that you're having to restart data collection for the Cardio Load algorithm after not wearing your Charge 6 while you were ill.

You probably need at least a week of data in order to start seeing your Cardio Load & Cardio Target Load again.

Please let us know if you still don't see Cardio Load after a week.

Thank you for your response. I've been wearing my Fitbit for a couple of
weeks since I was sick. I'm wondering if I need seven consecutive days of
some kind of exercise?

Maureen, I saw several replies to post, starting here, which possibly might help.

Note that the topic itself is about some previous problem, which at least my Charge 6 doesn't have, and i suspect has been fixed.

Also, each of the replies of interest here deals with a certain situation, like the one with the update available. i'd leave off after you;ve read those, again as the inability to set up isn't sounding like your problem, and appears fixed by now.

p.s. that link it turns out doesn't go to the reply I meant to start with -- it's the third item, from JPonry at 1400 time....

Hello @MaureenOrchard

I don't think you need 7 consecutive days of exercise. Instead, go back to your normal routine and let the algorithm start collecting data. It will eventually have enough data to re-establish your Cardio Load and Cardio Target Load range.

I'd be concerned that doing 7 consecutive days of exercise could result in high target ranges that could be difficult to meet. You could also consider setting your goal as Maintain for now, if it isn't already. For me, I found that using Maintain gives me reasonable Target Load suggestions. Once your Cardio Load is re-established and set, you can change to the goal to Improve.

I've been wearing my Fitbit for definitely more than seven days. Here is a
screen shot of my step history and today's screen. It still shows Recovery
with no cardio load goal.

It seems to me that the Charge 6 is defective. I've seen other users with the same problem and no solution has been given. Do you know if refunds are given?

It has been well over seven days of data. I've seen other posts about this same issue and no solution is provided by Fitbit. It would appear that the Charge 6 is defective. I wonder if they provide refunds.
