Charge 6 has stopped vibrating when I receive push notifications

ANSWERED

I've had the Charge 6 for a few weeks now and since the last time I charged it the push notifications no longer vibrate when received by the watch. Emails, texts, calls etc.  Other vibrations work fine - steps, zone minutes - so it's not a problem with the vibration, just the notifications.

I've just charged it again thinking it might reset something but nothing has changed.

I really like the vibrate for notifications feature so will be sending it back if I can't resolve this.

Fitbit support solved the problem for me.  On the watch go to Settings (scroll up from the clock face) and click through, scroll all the way to the bottom and Restart Device. This restarts the watch and sorted out the vibration issue for me.

@kaskel6 Welcome to the forums. Thanks for reaching out about the vibration when receiving notifications on your Fitbit Charge 6.

Have you tried the suggestions on this thread? I would recommend you restart (click here) your Fitbit Charge 6 and check that either sleep or "do not disturb" modes are not active, since that will prevent the device from vibrating.

I've confirmed that sleep & dnd are both turned off, and I've restarted my watch twice with no success.

I never realized how much I relied on this function until I realized that it had stopped working. Sure could use some help!

I managed to fix it with mine. If you use an iPhone go to main phone settings > Bluetooth > charge 6 > click the i button > make sure share system notifications is switch on.

Test it by calling yourself. It may not work the first time but will work the second time.

That did the trick. Thanks

This literally happens to me every 2 weeks or so. I'm so fed up with it, I wish I could return it.

Best Answer

Welp. Here I am 12 days later and same problem. Not vibrating again.

Wish I could return this thing.

I'm having the same problem, started yesterday.   When this has happened in the past, restarting the watch has always worked.  But not this time, I've tried everything but no luck.  And it's only the text messages, everything else is fine.

That didn't resolve the situation for me. Former watch notifications worked fine. Watch vibrates for exercise reasons, but not for notifications. I get multiple weather notifications but not the notifications I want, when a text arrives or I'm receiving a phone call.

Same problem.  I can get the notifications, but there is NO vibration to alert me that I have the notification.  Super frustrating.

I was able to connect with someone from support. He had me disconnect the
device from my phone and then reconnect it. That resolved the issue for me
and it now congrats when I receive a notification.
