Charge 6 heart rate spikes to 212 while sitting and quickly drops. Happened twice.

Has anyone had an issue with the charge 6 spiking while sitting?  I wore a chest monitor for a week and the Fitbit was between 30 and 40 points higher than the chest monitor while walking briskly.  However the spike when sitting wasn’t being monitored while I had the chest monitor.

While fitbit says that you have an elivated heart rate, has anyone measired their HR with a different method.

Yes. Have you read the previous responses? I have checked manually at my pulse, others have used chest straps or another Fitbit. It's always the Fitbit that is wildly out.

I had the same thing happen. I got notification on band that HR was high. What was weird , the notification never showed up in the app log.

This item is advertised as the most accurate tracker of heart rate. It is terrible.

sitting here logging my food after dinner and noticed my app screen shows 202. Looked down Fitbit shows 202 and starts climbing down. Grabbed my pulse ox which reads 100 and Fitbit is then reading 70. It’s not letting me upload second picture. I also charged yesterday afternoon and I’m down to 87%… I don’t use gps or anything fancy other than the normal tracking sp02 tracking. I don’t track exercise.

Yep both of my charge 6's do this at different times but have always been when I'm sitting or lying down. One will say 212bpm and the other in the 60's.

Just did 15 minutes of cardio and my charge 6 read 210 . Couldn't agree more with you whats the purpose of having a tracker if you can't rely on it

Thanks Fitbit !!

Yeah, Charge 6 definitely has its quirks and getting help from Fitbit is
annoyingly difficult since they made their unholy alliance with Google.
Mine will go as high as 180 when I am exercising, but can drop very
quickly. When I can afford a new device, I will be switching to Garmin.

I've been in contact with them twice over all this.  The first "fix" lasted about 2 weeks.  Now it even does it in my sleep.  I'm looking for a different watch!

It is useless as a tracker. Doesn’t track heart rate correctly while walking, nor the miles walked either. Disappointed.

Same, only happens at the office - HR goes crazy high, Fitbit starts to congratulate me on my great effort, but I am either standing or sitting. Doesn't happen anywhere else (for now.. only had it a couple of weeks)

There are other features that don’t track correctly either. So disappointing.
