Bought a charge 6 as a gift to someone else. Out of the box it went onto a charger, the screen lighted up to show it was connected. Checked it the next morning, it was completely dead. Cell phone app could not find the device to sync. Tried charging on a different USB port (and another after that). All posts are shiny and clean. Bought a replacement charger, and it still won't charge with that. Or at least, nothing I do will make the screen come back on - it just sets there blankly.

Hi @A.Thorn, thanks for stopping by, I hope you're doing well.
I'm sorry to hear the device you bought as a gift to someone else is unresponsive. I appreciate all the troubleshooting steps you have already tried.
Sometimes the device is charged but the screen just need a restart. If your device is unresponsive:
Another way to restart your device is to unplug it, wait a second, and plug it back in. Repeat this process 3 times in an 8 seconds interval and then wait 10 seconds until the device restarts.
