Charge 6 not syncing with the app

Everyday I have issues with the charge 6 and the app. It stopped syncing sometime yesterday (fitbit watch showed over 9000 steps the last sync showed 7000)

Today no steps, cant sync. Tried syncing on the PC, nope, on  the app , nope. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app..nope.  The watch shows my steps, but the app, and PC do not

And this not syncing is a DAILY thing, I am just over this charge 6.

I should have bought an apple watch argh

frustrating

Mine was great for 6 months then same issue. Restarted phone and device no I have to manually sync. I no longer get call or text notifications because my iPhone and Fitbit are not in sync.

Hi, thanks for the info. In my case the green light at the back is showing . The app has not anything left on it regarding heart and other relating too. It’s just like it’s never been there !   It’s so frustrating and time consuming trying to fix these problems. No response to me from google but the did have time to write and tell me one of my responses has been removed as it was similar to a previous one.
Again thank you.  Chris

I'm constantly having this same problem. I'm so over it to the point I will not buy another Fitbit device again after this one craps out. I haven't had it for a year, so it should only take a few more months until it finally stops working for goo.

I've tried the restart device, it does absolutely nothing. I can't remove the device from the app because the app acts like it doesn't know what to do/what device. If I unpair it, then it won't give any options to pair back.

The only way I have found it to work again (but I have to do this too often than necessary) is having to go to my device settings to device info, then clear data. Then open the app to set it up like it's a new device. Today I had to restart my phone in order to set it up because the app asked me if I want to replace the current device, and I clicked to replace it, but then it's like it doesn't know what to do, and goes into a constant "thinking". Once I restarted my phone, it was like it didn't have any problems pairing, and setting back up. I haven't lost any of my data, but it's been the only way to get my device to sync with the app. I'm not sure why this happens way too often. Seems like I'm doing this every few weeks. Mine's been doing this since I got it Dec 31, 2024. So it wasn't because of the device software update, phone updates, or app updates. I'm sure it'll become garbage by Jan 2026 since Fitbit products have been getting progressively worse in design and functionality.

I bought my Charge 6 this past July 2025, I'm also having problems 🙃 often. I've spent far too much of my time trying to connect the darn thing to my app consistently. I'm thinking the same, it's my worst purchase. I will not purchase the Charge 6 again.

Now my Fitbit Charge 6 isn't collecting ANY data 😠 This is so frustrating and disheartening. Paid nearly $300 new only a few months ago.  Best Buy what are my options!

I have had the same issues. Try the resets on this thread/google (try
turning bluetooth off and back on, reset by button on cord or on settings
on watch, try resetting app, etc.) ---- but I have found that doing a
restart on my cell phone usually fixes it. If none of this works you can
probably bring it back within the first year warantee (or contact the
Fitbit customer service for a replacement, which I had to do a couple of
years ago.
Hopefully they will fix this glitch soon.

Yes, I have done this three different times, all of what you mentioned. Frustrating.

I'm now working on getting a reimbursement. I do not want this particular Fitbit Charge 6. I appreciate your response. M.

Fingers 🤞 crossed...I spoke to someone through a phone chat, they've resolved my issue. I'm hopeful.

I too had good chat session, but it should not be such a problem with the devices, prolonged and repetitive.

Hello

Yes user of iOS synching to iPhone.  I currently do not get notifications on the Fitbit even though I have that option turned on.  Purely using as a watch and tracker of my walks/hikes.

Hello @Finngirlsault! Welcome back to the Fitbit Community!

Thank you so much for sharing the details about your Charge 6 that is not receiving notifications.

In the following help article you can find all the steps to set your notifications: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device, keep in mind that if you have the Do not disturb or Sleep mode On in the watch you won't receive notifications.

I hear you. I spoke with someone on phone, he walked me through restarting my Fitbit Charge 6. After several steps, it's once again fully connected, with data updates, and connected to my Samsung Galaxy 24.

This is the 3rd time having to get assistance. I am very skeptical 🫤 now. My trust for this particular Fitbit is 0.

Someone mentioned this issue started when it connected to Google 🤔 There just might be the problem 👀😒
